Postpartum
Compassion
Nikki Tremonti,
Certified Postpartum Doula PCD(DONA)
Serving the Lake Travis area in Austin, TX
We spend too much time worrying about if a new baby is sleeping well, eating enough, or crying too much,

and not enough time worrying if a new mom is sleeping well, eating enough, or crying too much.
Comfort, Clarity & Calm
Supporting your
4th Trimester
A postpartum doula supports a mother and her family as they adjust to the "4th trimester" period of life after a new baby. They can bring comfort, clarity, and a sense of calm to what is often a busy and restless transition. This is such a needed and missing element to so many postpartum journeys.
I am trained and educated on offering you practical, informational, and emotional support on all things postpartum--from recovery, feeding assistance, newborn care 101, household tasks, referrals to local resources, and the list goes on. I will support you in referring to your care provider with medical questions, and can assist you in note taking and accompanying you to doctor appointments.
One of my biggest reasons "why" in choosing this field of work, is my desire to promote better maternal mental health. Many mothers these days turn to social media during the understandably isolating time of postpartum, looking for answers and companionship to weather the long days and nights. I believe that when a mother is accompanied by a real-life person who is trained, objective yet empathetic, and supportive in multiple ways during this fragile time, she is much more likely to recover well in all facets, one most importantly being mentally. Evidence from research shows that postpartum doulas have been proven to promote family bonding through support for partners and siblings.
